| to love and its consequency | for everyone |
it
has been well accepted by people that every deed will be followed by
its consequency. this idea is some sort of global consensus which had
been understood universally as a reality. and the comprehenssion of this
idea is one of the requirements to determine someone's maturity level.
to love, is one of those deeds which literally implies it has its own consequency. as for islamic teaching, Love is one of the sublimest and most appealing of concept. it is recognized as the basis of the faith.
once the holy prophet muhammad SAWW was enquired by his followers ,
"what is firmest handhold of faith?",
and then the holy prophet muhammad SAWW replied: "
The firmest handhold of faith is to love for the sake of God and to hate for the sake of God, to befriend God's friends and to renounce His enemies.' (Al-Kulayni, Usul al-Kafi, "kitab al-iman wa al-kufr," bab al-hubb fi Allah wa ai-bughd fi Allah," hadith 6)
from this tradition, we can see that the consequency of to love is to hate. then if there's a loving dee, at the same time there should be a hating deed. if we relate this issue to faith matters, it would bring to one conclusion which is when we love something for the sake of Allah, at the same time time we should hate other thing for the sake of Allah.
considering the essence of islamic teaching , the main thing that ordered by Allah is "to enjoin the truth and to forbid the evil" (ammar ma'ruf nahi munkar), we can see how this love and its consequency should be applied. if we love Allah, it means we love all the things relate to the enjoning the truth and at the same time we hate all the things that relate to evilness/wickedness.
further implication of it, when we love Allah, we will love the deeds of other people who perform their duties in enjoining the truth, and at the same time we should show our dislikes to the people who do devilment, for the sake of God.
with the understanding of it, we will never be hesitate as to where we should take our clear stances. inshaallah.
