sayings of Rasulullah SAWW - for muslim monday | for everyone |
last week i got tagged to be the host of muslim monday this week. that means i'm the one to decide the theme. there were some ideas i wanted to share, but i thought maybe i could share this one for now.
the topic i choose for this week is "the saying of rasulullah". you may post 1 or 2 sayings of holy prophet Muhammad SAWW. and afterward you can explain a little bit as to why you picked the saying(s). maybe if you like to relate it to your personal situation or experience, it would be most suggested.
everyone may join this event. u should only post a blog with this theme. and after posting it on your blog, please do come back here and put the link to your blog entry on comment space of this page.
for the next muslim monday, i'd like to tag sister riyawati/ sulthanah
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sometimes as other people do, i have to go through hardships. sometimes i did handle it quite well, though many times i did get to my low points. sometimes i feel like wondering why Allah burdens me with such hardships that i dont think i'm capable of handling them. and there was a time when i felt like i was being cursed (lol, it's embarrassing. but alhamdulillah i've stopped feeling that way since long ago).
but, i was always wrong. it turns out, whenever we are in the middle of hardships it's actually the moments when we can be closer to Him. Allah loves to hear the supplication of the people who lean on no one but Him.
and there's saying of rasulullah that i always take as a reminder to me:
"The people most prone to trials with afflictions are the prophets and then the most pious and then the next in piety and so on. A man is tried according to the strength of his belief. If his belief is firm, his trial will be harder, and if his belief is weak, he is tried accordingly. A servant of Allah will go on being tried with afflictions until he walks on earth free of sins. "
masyaAllah it's very wise and also encouraging.
as being taught and performed by the prophets, all the trials they received only made them stronger and closer to Allah. their stronger personalities came out of their sturdy faith. rasulullah did also mention that endurance is one pillar that supports the structure of faith. there's rasulullah's saying regarding endurance:
"Endurance is composed of four attributes: eagerness, fear, piety and anticipation (of death). So whoever is eager for Paradise will ignore temptations; whoever fears the fire of Hell will abstain from sins; whoever practises piety will easily bear the difficulties of life and whoever anticipates death will hasten towards good deeds."
it literally appears, that Allah wants all those perpetual hardships as the media for people to maintain and elevate their faith. and slightly, by the passage of time, i learn that through all those hardships Allah is trying to teach us, to shape us and to give us the opportunities to actualize all of the potencies we posses in heading the perfection, to be with Allah by performing our total submission.
la hawwla wa la quwata ila billah..
may Allah guide us all. amin yaa Robbal alamin
